Experts Bureau

The NAGAP Experts Bureau consists of higher education leaders with demonstrated organizational knowledge and specialized expertise in at least one of the identified “Core Competencies” of Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM). The Experts Bureau has been selected for their ample experience, dedication to NAGAP and the GEM community, and their desire to share their knowledge with peers.

Experts Bureau members are available to respond to inquiries from NAGAP members, journalists, GEM-related vendors, and more. Members are also open to speaking engagements at conferences, on panels, and for other presentations. Please submit all requests for expertise to [email protected].

Dr. Stephanie Krusemark is a seasoned higher education leader with more than twenty years of experience in strategic enrollment management, student success, and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion. She holds a Doctorate in Higher Education with a specialization in Diversity and Higher Learning from the University of Denver's Morgridge College of Education and has dedicated her career to creating environments where all students can thrive. Dr. Krusemark has served in leadership roles at spiritually and religiously affiliated institutions including Iliff School of Theology, Naropa University, Santa Clara University, Trinity Washington University, and the University of Portland, where she has championed transformative initiatives grounded in social justice and inclusive excellence, advancing enrollment strategies that promote access, belonging, and student success.

Julie Deland

Julie Deland

Director of Administration, Dept. of Health Policy & Management, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health(MA)

Julie is a seasoned higher education leader with over twenty-five years of experience at Harvard and nearly twenty with NAGAP, including serving as President. In her current role leading an academic department, she partners with the Faculty Chair to set departmental strategy, create policy, implement initiatives, and manage the operating budget. She also oversees faculty searches and hiring; academic appointments, reappointments, and promotions; staff hiring, promotions, and reclassifications; management of day-to-day operations; space management; and community engagement. Prior to working at HSPH, Julie was the Director of Admissions at the Harvard Graduate School of Education for nearly 10 years. In that role she was responsible for marketing and recruitment; application processing, evaluation, and notification; yield initiatives; and contributing to enrollment management strategy.

Dave Fletcher

Keith Ramsdell

President, NACCAP

With over twenty-five years of experience in higher education, Keith Ramsdell joined the Experts Bureau after serving in several roles within NAGAP including President. Keith has honed the practice of enrollment planning and helped lead multiple institutions to substantial graduate growth through strategic marketing, pipeline development, and faculty engagement. In Keith's current role, he is responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction for NACCAP while championing the organization's mission and fostering collaboration among members and other stakeholders. In his previous role as VPEM at Ashland University (OH), he was responsible for residential, graduate, international and online admissions, enrollment operations, financial aid, military and Veteran services, and marketing and communications.

A recipient of the NAGAP Distinguished Service Award and frequent speaker at regional and national conferences, Marcus is recognized for his deep expertise in navigating the complexities of modern enrollment through state-of-the-art marketing and enrollment practices.

Kristen Sterba

Kristen Sterba

Associate Provost for Students & Administration, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (AR)

Kristen Sterba has been serving in GEM for over 15 years with acute experience in admissions and biomedical science recruitment. Ms. Sterba transitioned to student services and academic affairs early in her career, which has allowed her to dive deeply into programs that she has overseen, policies she has written, and students she monitors through their enrollment life cycle.

Joseph Paris

Dr. Joseph Paris

Dean of Graduate & Professional Studies, Delaware Valley University (PA)

Dr. Joseph H. Paris is Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Delaware Valley University, specializing in higher education leadership, enrollment management, and student success. He earned his EdD from Temple University and is a published scholar on graduate enrollment management, institutional finance and effectiveness, and student outcomes. A frequent conference presenter and co-editor of A Comprehensive Guide to Graduate Enrollment Management (Routledge), Dr. Paris teaches graduate courses on higher education economics and finance, leadership, and institutional effectiveness. He is committed to student-centered learning and actively mentors emerging leaders while advancing innovation in graduate education.

Thomas Rock

Vice Provost for Student Affairs, Teachers College, Columbia University (NY)

Mr. Rock has a significant background in graduate enrollment management with over thirty years of experience at all levels. He currently serves as the Vice Provost for Student Affairs. His role has him focus on all aspects of the graduate student cycle, from engagement and enrollment to their course work and graduation. Tom has established both short- and long-range marketing and recruitment strategies to increase selectivity and yield at his institution. He works across many different divisions and academic units to ensure student success.

Fran Reed

Fran Reed

Dean of Graduate Admissions, Catholic University of America (DC)

Ms. Reed has more than two decades of leadership experience in graduate enrollment management. Fran currently serves as the Dean of Graduate Admissions at The Catholic University of America where she provides strategic direction for graduate recruitment and enrollment growth. She also works in close collaboration with Financial Aid, Communications & Marketing, Enrollment Operations, and Enrollment Services to strengthen the full graduate enrollment lifecycle from prospect generation to yield and matriculation. Fran previously held the role as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing at Neumann University. Ms. Reed oversaw both undergraduate and graduate enrollment efforts, as well as university marketing and public relations. Throughout her career, she has successfully grown graduate enrollment and developed comprehensive recruitment plans spanning from high school through graduate levels. 

Ms. Reed is frequently interviewed on live broadcasts and quotes in numerous publications, particularly on topics related to financial aid and financial education. Earlier in her career, she bridged the gap between student affairs and graduate enrollment management by creating a graduate orientation program and fostering a strong graduate culture on campus. 

She bas been a member of the Experts Bureau for over a decade and currently serves as NAGAP's Vice President and the External Relations and Partnership Chair.

Amy Sison

Dr. Amy P. Sison

Associate Vice President for Enrollment, Dean of Admission - Wentworth Institute of Technology (MA)

Dr. Amy Sison brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, with 13 years dedicated to graduate enrollment. She currently serves as Associate Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admission at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, where she oversees pre-college programs as well as undergraduate, transfer, and graduate enrollment. Amy earned her Ed.D. in Transformative Leadership from the University of New England and holds a certificate in Enrollment Management Leadership from the University of Southern California.

 Melissa Yeung is a dedicated leader in Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM) with over 15 years of experience spanning international admissions, student services, and academic affairs. Currently serving as the Director of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services at Bowling Green State University, Dr. Yeung specializes in the intersection of strategic enrollment and equity-minded practice. 

A recognized expert in Holistic Admissions, her research specifically examines the sense of belonging and experiences of racially minoritized students within healthcare education 

She is committed to advancing GEM through evidence-based strategies that prioritize both institutional growth and student well-being.

Mary Pascarella

Mary Pascarella

Associate Director of Graduate Admissions - Sam Houston State University (TX)

Mary Pascarella is the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions at Sam Houston State University. She has a BA in English from the University of Kansas, a certificate in Project Management from the University of Texas Center for Professional Education and was part of the inaugural NAGAP Leadership Academy class.  

Mary has worked in higher education for seventeen years in admissions operations and business analysis. Mary began her career as a software and training project management consultant working on various ERP implementation projects for state and national government agencies. She is the co-author of the Prentice Hall Essential Series on Microsoft Project. 

Mary has been an active member of NAGAP serving previously as Conference Planning Committee Chair and Education Chair.

Naronda Wright

Dr. Naronda C. Wright

Associate Dean for Graduate Student Services - Georgia Southern University 

Dr. Naronda Wright is an accomplished higher education leader with more than 15 years of experience in graduate enrollment management, student success initiatives, and academic administration. She currently serves as Associate Dean for Graduate Student Services at Georgia Southern University, where she leads institution-wide efforts focused on retention, policy development, and improving graduate student experience from admission through matriculation. 

Dr. Wright's professional expertise include graduate admissions operations, enrollment systems and CRM implementation, academic policy and curriculum review, ABM Pathways development, and fiscal oversight of multi-million-dollar assistantship budgets. Prior to her current role, she served as Director of Graduate Admissions Operations at Augusta University and spent over a decade in progressive leadership roles within the College of Graduate Studies at Georgia Southern University. 

A nationally recognized leader in graduate enrollment management, Dr. Wright is actively engaged with NAGAP, The Leader in Graduate Enrollment Management, where she has held numerous national leadership roles and currently serves as Board President. She is a frequent contributor to conversations on enrollment innovation, operational efficiency, and equity-driven student success strategies. 

Dr. Wright holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Clark Atlanta University and brins a leadership foundation shaped by prior service in the United States Army. Her work reflect a deep commitment to access, excellence, and transformational leadership in higher education.

Kittie Pain

Kittie Pain

Director of Graduate Enrollment - Kutztown University (PA)

Kittie Pain is the Director of Graduate Enrollment at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She earned a BA in English from McDaniel College, a Master of Arts and Letters from Drew University, and is completing her Ed.D. at St. Peter's University. 

Kittie brings over 20 years of GEM experience to the field and collaborates closely with faculty on program development, enrollment strategies, and student success. Additionally, Kittie completed the NAGAP Leadership Academy in 2021 and has served on the NAGAP Executive Board and on related sub-committees for 15-years. Graduate Admissions Operations
